Our four principles
Coach, not ghostwriter
The coaching pattern is teach, then ask. A student who asks for a finished answer gets a question and an explanation instead. This is not a limitation we apologize for — it is the point of the product.
The student owns the decision
Choosing the customer, the offer, the price, and the product is the student's job. Coach Kingsley can lay out trade-offs and pressure-test reasoning, but the founder decides.
Student work stays student work
Submitted work is expected to be in the student's own words. Instructors and parents review real student thinking, which is what makes feedback worth anything.
Boundaries built into the coach
The coach stays inside age-appropriate territory, avoids advice it is not qualified to give, and steers students toward a trusted adult for anything with real-world consequences.
What Coach Kingsley will and won't do
These rules are enforced in how the coach is instructed to respond, not just described in marketing copy.
What it does
- Teaches the concept behind an assignment before asking for an answer
- Asks what the student thinks first, then responds to that thinking
- Reteaches a lesson a student missed or did not understand
- Challenges vague claims and untested assumptions
- Points out what is missing in a draft and asks how they would fix it
- Helps a student turn their own rough notes into clearer writing in their own voice
What it won't do
- Write a student's final assignment answer for them
- Invent customer interviews, quotes, or survey results
- Fabricate market research, statistics, or sources
- Pretend work or progress exists when it doesn't
- Give legal, medical, tax, or financial advice
- Make real-world commitments on a student's behalf
- Replace a teacher, facilitator, or parent's judgment
- Decide grades, discipline, admissions, or accommodations
Academic integrity, practically
The usual worry about AI in learning is that a student hands in something they did not write or think. Coach Kingsley is designed around the opposite habit: the student is asked for their answer first, and the coach responds to that answer.
When a student is stuck, the coach reteaches the concept and breaks it into a smaller question. When a draft is weak, the coach names what is missing and asks the student to revise. The revision is theirs.
Research and evidence are treated the same way. If a student needs customer input, the coach helps them plan real conversations and questions — it will not manufacture interview quotes or survey numbers to fill a gap.
Adults stay involved
In Founder Track a parent owns the account and can follow progress and saved work. In school and organization programs, instructors review submissions and give the human feedback that decides what counts as complete.
Privacy boundaries
A student's coaching conversations and business work belong to their account and are visible to the adults connected to it — a parent on a family account, or instructors for students in their program. Students are told not to share sensitive personal details with the coach. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
When to hand off to a human
Anything involving safety, money, contracts, health, or a decision with real consequences is redirected to a parent, guardian, or instructor. The coach is a learning tool, not an advisor.
Built to coach, not ghostwrite
Many AI tools work as prompt → finished assignment. Coach Kingsley is intentionally designed around a different pattern, and students remain responsible for their final answers.

Humans stay responsible
AI gives formative support. In KYEA Academy and Partner Access programs, instructors and facilitators lead instruction, review and grade work, step in when a student needs help, and make program decisions. In self-guided Founder Track, a parent or guardian stays connected, and AI coaching is never an official educational or professional authority.
Grounded in the student's real work
Coach Kingsley is designed to use the student's own authorized lessons, saved answers, and progress when it helps. If something isn't available — a lesson not yet released, work not yet saved — it says so instead of inventing progress.
Honest about limits
AI can make mistakes or misunderstand. Students should question feedback, check facts against reliable sources, and do real research with real people — AI output is never evidence about customers or markets.
No automated high-stakes decisions
Coach Kingsley does not independently decide grades, discipline, admissions, eligibility, placement, accommodations, employment, or credit. Pitch Practice rubric and readiness results are formative coaching evidence for the student — not an institutional decision. Where a program grades work, a human instructor or facilitator does the grading.
Pitch Practice: measured vs. AI-observed
On voice and video attempts we keep two kinds of feedback clearly separate.
Measured
- Time — the length of the recording
- Speaking pace — words per minute across the whole pitch
- Noticeable pauses — silences longer than about 1.5 seconds
- Detected filler words — counted from the transcript. Transcription can leave out some spoken fillers such as "um", so this is a minimum, not a complete count.
Pace is never labelled "too fast" or "too slow" by a fixed number, and no score is set from a measurement alone.
AI-observed
Coach Kingsley's Take — comments on clarity, structure, and delivery based on what the AI heard or saw. These are coaching observations, not sensor measurements. We do not measure confidence, emotion, eye contact, gestures, or posture.
Recordings are kept for up to 12 months. Students can download their own recording and delete an attempt at any time.
Designed for young founders
Coach Kingsley is an educational entrepreneurship coach. It is instructed to stay on learning and business-building and to point students back to real people — parents, instructors, and customers. It is not designed as a companion or friend, and there are no ads, so there is no advertising reason to keep students chatting.
If a conversation turns to self-harm, abuse, or another crisis, the coach is instructed to stop coaching and direct the student to a trusted adult or emergency services. Coach Kingsley is not a counselling or monitoring service and does not replace adult supervision.
Privacy and AI
- Relevant student information is processed only to provide authorized coaching.
- Student data is not sold, and there is no behavioral or targeted advertising.
- We do not use student work to train general-purpose AI models.
- Pitch Practice recordings have a defined 12-month retention.
- Organization access is limited by role and assigned classes.
